Gavin
Director/Head Coach
Gav is our Head Boxing Coach, Founder of Iwade Boxing Academy, and one of our dedicated directors. Bringing many years of military experience and an outstanding passion for developing boxers of all ages and abilities. Known for creating a positive, disciplined, and inclusive training environment, Gav has a proven ability to work with children and adults from diverse backgrounds, helping them build confidence, respect, fitness, and resilience both inside and outside the gym. As the driving force behind the academy, he is committed to building a community where individuals can grow both athletically and personally. He also offers personalised 1-to-1 coaching sessions tailored to individual goals and needs, ensuring every athlete receives the support, guidance, and motivation required to reach their full potential.
Kelsey
Director/Coach
Kelsey is one of our dedicated coaches, co-founder of Iwade Boxing Academy, and a fun, energetic, and talented boxer who specialises in female fitness and empowerment. Leading by example, she isn’t afraid to step into the ring herself. Kelsey brings energy, enthusiasm, and positivity to every session, helping clients build confidence, improve their fitness, and achieve their goals. Her lively personality, passion for boxing, and constant encouragement make her a valued coach who inspires everyone she works with to believe in themselves, work hard, and push beyond their limits.
Leroy
Director/Marketing lead
Leroy is a huge part of what keeps the gym moving forward, bringing energy, passion, and dedication to both his role as Gym Director and Marketing Lead. Known for his approachable nature and fun, lively personality, he helps create a positive environment where everyone feels welcome. Leading by example, Leroy stepped into the ring himself and secured a win after completing one-to-one training with Head Coach Gav, showing his commitment to constantly pushing himself. He is also highly community-minded, regularly supporting charities, raising awareness for important causes, and organising fundraising fun days that bring people together. A true people person who works hard behind the scenes and always gets things done.
Vickie
DSL/Director
Vickie oversees all safeguarding responsibilities within the club, acting as the main point of contact for any welfare concerns, ensuring safeguarding policies are followed, supporting coaches and working with families or external agencies whenever additional support is needed. Passionate about youth development, Vickie believes boxing is about much more than sport — it’s about building confidence, resilience, discipline, and giving young people a positive environment where they can thrive. Known for being approachable, caring, and fully committed to child safety, Vickie works hard to make sure Iwade Boxing Academy remains a place where every young person feels protected, encouraged, and able to reach their full potential.
